Town Hall

The current building that houses the Town of Gravenhurst municipal offices is located at 190 Harvie Street, and was opened on June 14, 1969. The building was originally constructed to house the Gravenhurst Volunteer Fire Department (Station 1 fire hall and training room), and the Gravenhurst Police Department. Remnants of two of the old holding cells still remain from the police station days.

A two-storey addition was constructed in 1992 to provide for more office and meeting room space. The current facility now houses the Clerk’s Department (including By-law Enforcement), Development Services Department (Building and Planning Divisions), Public Works Department, Treasury Department, the Gravenhurst Council Chambers, and the Mayor’s office. The Town of Gravenhurst Municipal Office is the location for municipally conducted civil marriages.

190 Harvie Street is the place to go if you wish to meet with the Mayor, pay your taxes, apply for a Building Permit, apply for a business license, ask about road maintenance, or get married. For more information about the Town of Gravenhurst, please visit www.gravenhurst.ca

The Station 1 fire hall of the Gravenhurst Volunteer Fire Department is still located at 190 Harvie Street, as is the Fire Chief’s office, and a Fire Department training room. For more information on the Gravenhurst Volunteer Fire Department, please visit www.gravenhurstfire.com
